XXL All Sports United Optimizes Omnichannel Strategy With Nedap iD Cloud

Nedap (AMS:NEDAP), the global leader in RFID solutions, is selected by fast-growing sports and outdoor retailer XXL All Sports United to deploy its iD Cloud platform. The key driver for implementing RFID is to increase inventory accuracy, which results in high operational gains both in stores and for e-commerce. XXL All Sports United, active in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Austria, has deployed iD Cloud in all Norwegian stores and will finalize the rollout to the rest of its 89 megastores before the end of the first half of 2022. The project is implemented by Nedap partner Securitas.

The Permian volleyball team got a momentum boost before shifting its focus to the Class 6A playoffs, defeating Wolfforth Frenship in five sets Tuesday at the Permian Fieldhouse.

The Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Tigers 14-25, 14-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-12.

After falling behind two sets, the Lady Panthers rallied behind key defensive plays from multiple members on the court.

Nyxalee Munoz led the Lady Panthers with 14 kills and 25 digs, followed by Jade Workman who posted 13 kills and 16 digs.

Permian (29-14 overall, 6-6 District 2-6A) finished the regular season on a three-match winning streak and will face El Paso Franklin in the bi-district round of the 2021 playoffs on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. in El Paso.

India should target a “realistic” goal of $65 billion worth of textile exports in the next five years, industry body CII and global management consulting firm Kearney have said in a report, adding the government’s aim of $100 billion of exports is a “very steep goal”. The report also said India should ink trade pacts with the EU, the UK, Australia, Canada, Bangladesh and Vietnam. India exported textiles worth $36 billion in 2019.

The report, titled Creating a competitive advantage for India in the global textile and apparel industry, also suggested the government to tweak the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for technical textiles and manmade fibres, and expand it to fabric and garments made of natural products, saying the selected companies may struggle to reach the threshold investments set in the scheme.

Sanjeev Mohanty is Levi’s head of US, Canada operations, Retail News, ET Retail

Levi Strauss & Co. has promoted Sanjeev Mohanty, who has been heading the denim brand, also known as Levi’s, in India and South Asia-Middle East and Africa, to head its commercial operations in its largest markets, the US and Canada.

Mohanty will be the first Indian executive in the fashion industry to bag this global role, joining a growing number of Indians in tech and consumer sectors who are leading the operations globally.

“During his tenure with the company, Sanjeev has proven himself to be a dynamic and growth-minded leader.
