JD.com founder steps down as CEO

Lei Xu, president of JD.com, has been appointed as the CEO of the firm to thrive Liu, efficient from 7 April.

Liu will continue to be as the chairman of the Board and go on to focus on guiding the company’s “long-expression methods, mentoring youthful administration, and contributing to the revitalization of rural areas”.

Xu claimed: “In the previous 19 several years, Richard has set up and upheld JD’s strategic positioning as a supply chain-centered technologies and assistance service provider and the principle of ‘doing business the proper way,’ placing a strong foundation for our long term endeavors.

“I believe Richard has designed the most treasured property for JD. I share his business philosophy and motivation, and will continue on to create benefit to our consumers, business companions and the culture. With each other with the leadership team, I will further establish on that and travel substantial-quality and sustainable development of the firm likely forward.”
