Super-Bowl Magic
The halftime show at this year’s Super Bowl was just incredible.
It was amazing seeing Dr Dre bring together Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J Blige and Kendrick Lamar – what a performance!
I have to say though, when the musicians you’ve grown up with are touted as legends, it does make you feel a bit old! But I loved it.
I have huge respect for Eminem for taking the knee in support of Black Lives Matter, too. It’s been reported that the performers were told not to make political statements before the show.
Whether that’s true or not, I think what Eminem did was great. As the only white man, he may have felt he would get less backlash. It was a powerful statement of support.

Naomi’s Baby Love
Naomi Campbell, 51, has opened up about becoming a mother and posed for pictures with her beautiful baby girl.
As someone who had an older parent – my mum had me at 48 – it’s lovely to see women these days having children a bit later in life.
People can question whether it’s selfish to have a baby in your late forties or fifties, but Naomi is fit, healthy and rich – she’s not going to struggle!
Janet Jackson had a baby at 50. Yes, these women have had glitzy careers, but they’ve put their lives on hold for their work. It’s nice to see Naomi so happy.

Half-Term Fun
Last week was half term and I had some time off work. I took my children away for a few days, which was really lovely.
We also spent time at home, so I was busy doing what all mums do on school holidays – cooking, cleaning and trying to entertain my kids!
While they are really good at keeping themselves busy now they are teenagers, we went to an escape room and go-karting together, which was so much fun.
I also made time to catch up on the TV I’ve been excited to watch, like the new Fresh Prince reboot.

Bridgerton is coming
I can’t wait to see what showrunner Shonda Rhimes has in store for series two of Bridgerton.
She has been such an inspiration to me as a Black director with her own production company. I also love the British Black actresses Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh and Kathryn Drysdale.
I’ve got a feeling this season is going to be even raunchier. I’d love to appear in Bridgerton.

So Happy for Alexandra
It’s so lovely to hear that Alexandra Burke is expecting her first baby with her partner Darren Randolph.
The pair of them just seem so in love. It’s beautiful and I’m so happy for Alexandra.
