The value of textile and garment exports from Pakistan enhanced by 28.67 per cent year-on-year in dollar terms in the first two months of fiscal 2021-22. During the interval, Pakistan acquired $2.933 billion from textile and apparel exports, when compared to exports of $2.280 billion in July-August 2020, in accordance to information from Pakistan Bureau of Figures.
Group-wise, knitwear exports rose by a sharp 34.12 per cent year-on-year to $756.883 million through the two-month interval, though exports of non-knit readymade clothes have been up 22.57 per cent to $584.913 million.
Amongst textiles, cotton yarn exports enhanced by 67.ninety seven per cent to $193.389 million in July-August 2021, as towards exports of $a hundred and fifteen.136 million manufactured through the corresponding interval of 2020. Exports of cotton material also rose by 24.74 per cent and have been valued at $367.624 million through the interval under critique.
