Darroch has been group main executive at telecommunication corporation Sky given that 2007. Just before becoming a member of Sky as CFO in 2004, he was group finance director of DSG International (DSG), previously Dixons Group.
He will not stand for re-election at the company’s forthcoming once-a-year normal assembly on 15 July.
Darroch joined the board in February 2014, in advance of getting to be senior unbiased director on 1 July 2017. He also served as chair of the audit committee from 1 August 2016 to six February 2019.
Meanwhile, Dame Carolyn McCall, who has been an unbiased non-executive director given that 1 September 2014, will assume the function of senior unbiased director with impact from the 15 July.
McCall has been CEO of Television manufacturing corporation ITV given that 2018. From 2010 to 2017 she was CEO of EasyJet and held a selection of roles at the Guardian Media Group, such as CEO from 2006 to 2010.
