The NCC (National Cotton Council) has introduced that David Blakemore is the 2020 Horace Hayden National Cotton Ginner of the 12 months, introduced during the National Cotton Ginners Association’s (NCGA) new 2021 digital yearly conference. The NCGA also recognised Jerry Scarborough as recipient of the NCGA’s 2020-21 Charles C. Owen Distinguished Service award.

An innovative Missouri ginner recognized for his outstanding provider and management to the US cotton sector, Blakemore at the moment chairs the NCC’s Cotton Move Committee. Blakemore has also served on the NCC’s Excellent Activity Force and various other committees. President of Blakemore Cotton & Grain in Campbell, Blakemore has served as both NCGA president and chairman, chaired many of its committees, and proceeds to provide as a NCGA director. He also serves as director of the US Cotton Have confidence in Protocol, an industrywide sustainability initiative. Blakemore served formerly as a Cotton Integrated director, as president of Cotton Producers of Missouri from 1994-1996, and as president of the Southern Cotton Ginners Association in 1999. In 2011, he was named that association’s Ginner of the 12 months, in accordance to NCC.
