Pregnant Lucy Mecklenburgh shows off baby bump in workout photos as she launches exercise programme for expectant mums
Lucy Mecklenburgh has shown off her blossoming baby bump in stunning new photos of herself working out just days before she gives birth.
The 28 year old is currently expecting her first child, a son, with her fiancé Ryan Thomas, 35.
Ahead of the birth of her bundle of joy, the former The Only Way Is Essex star has re-launched her pre-natal fitness and wellness programme, Results With Bump.
Results With Bump will be available alongside her existing workout programme RWL, which stands for Results, Wellness, Lifestyle.
In the gorgeous shots, Lucy is seen smiling down at her bump as she positions herself on an exercise ball.
Another sees her using weight to get a workout in before she goes into labour, with a third showing her sat on the floor during a yoga class.
Results With Bump has been inspired by Lucy’s own pregnancy journey and how her relationship with her body and fitness has changed over the last nine months.
Speaking about the programme, Lucy says: “It’s difficult to predict how you are going to feel day to day.
“Some days you feel exhausted, some days you feel nauseous and some days you quite simply don’t fancy doing a workout.
“Having said that, we wholeheartedly believe in the physical and mental benefits of staying active and healthy during your pregnancy and during your recovery.
“The new Results with Bump programme is made up of workouts that have all been created and filmed with me and our team of experts during my pregnancy.
“On the website there is now three new video banks for each trimester so mums to be can work out at any time during their pregnancy.
“We also wanted to be able to offer the widest variety of prenatal workouts because being pregnant doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a variety of workouts as usual. We have filmed prenatal classes in Pilates, boxing, yoga, dance, weights and more.
“There is still so much uncertainty about whether you can exercise while pregnant and what types of exercises you can do.
“Myself, Cecilia [Harris, head personal trainer at RWL] and the RWL team are passionate about helping to educate people on the benefits of exercising while pregnant and so as part of the Results with Bump programme, we have also included educational blogs and vlogs on fitness, nutrition and wellbeing from the RWL experts which will be updated and added to regularly,” she continued.
