Textiles sector to help build a self-reliant India: PM

Textiles sector will help develop a self-reliant India and the government is particularly concentrating on upgrading expertise, money guidance and integrating the sector with the newest technologies, Primary Minister Narendra Modi claimed while addressing an international webinar on textile traditions organised by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) yesterday.

To support weavers in continuing to make earth class items, India needs to discover both worldwide and domestic most effective methods, he claimed. “The exchange of suggestions and sharing of most effective methods in this webinar will build new avenues for collaboration,” he was quoted as declaring in an formal push release.

Primary Minister Modi lauded ICCR and the Uttar Pradesh Institute of Style and design for their efforts in bringing experts from various countries to participate in the webinar themed ‘Weaving Relations: Textile Traditions’.
